Met with the florist, Esther, a few weeks back, with my mom and bridesmaid Liz.
It was the final of three meetings to talk through all of the details.
I had given her a ton of different samples of pictures from web-sites and magazines that I really liked, and also showed her the table that was "my inspiration" for the colors.
She mocked up both the bridesmaid bouquet and my bouquet in silk, which you can see below:
For the ceremony we talked about using primarily ivory flowers for two altar pieces and a centerpiece in the entryway of the church. The church railings and pews will be decorated with greens.
For the reception, she is going to do four different centerpieces, all with square vases, and burgundy flowers, the centerpieces will be as follows:
1) A tall square vase with floating orchids or other flowers in the middle, on top will be red lilacs, mums, roses and greens, there will be orchids trailing down
2) A tall square vase with the rows of red roses around the top and candles in the middle
3) A very large low square vase with tall cylinder candles surrounded by burgundy flowers
4) Three low square vases with different burgundy flowers in each, one will have roses, one dahlias and the other calla lilies
I can't wait to see it all in person!
