11 Months - Toddlerhood

My talking, climbing, crawling, giggling girl is full on in toddler hood. With every passing day more of her personality emerges and I still see my little baby but Hannah assists on running as fast as possible into toddler hood.

Hannah has a curious mind and is always exploring, especially if that involves following her sister or seeing what her sister is up to. She is a total thrill seeker, climbing stairs and seeing what she can get into next. She has become so agile, squatting down and standing back up, turning around, etc.

This month we went on vacation and it was a blast to see Hannah in the pool and outside having fun, that is when she is truly having the most fun and it was such a joy to see her having so much fun. She was having a blast in the pool kicking and splashing and had absolutely no fear near the ocean, running, laughing and playing in it as the tide rolled in. She loved playing in the sand, and didn't mind getting dirty - and only tried to eat the sand... twice!

She is absolutely infatuated right now with balls, she loves kicking them, carrying them, throwing them, etc. All she needs is balls and maybe a balloon and she is the happiest kid in the world.

She is working more and more on her communication and it is amazing to see. She lights up and starts clapping when I walk in from work, clearly the highlight of my day. If you ask her who the baby is she pats her chest and she is getting better at pointing to her head, nose, etc. One of her favorite things to do is give hugs right now and it melts my heart every time.

I can tell she can understand more as she can follow basic instructions and I love how her face lights up when she realizes she has done what was asked of her.

She is really emerging into her own active, adventurous and hilarious self and I can't
wait to see what she does next.
