Hannah - Five Months

Hannah's fifth month has been filled with a few milestones.

On September 1, Hannah got her first tooth, which was followed promptly by her second tooth on September 8. Never thought my 4.5 month old would have teeth! So far they don't seem to bother her, but it has been a whole new world with feeding.

Hannah absolutely LOVES to eat. If the family sits down for dinner and there isn't something for her, she sqwauks to get your attention. So far, she has liked everything and I hope that she continues to be an adventurous eater.

On September 15th Hannah sat up unassisted for a while for herself. She still doesn't really care for tummy time, but is doing a great time of sitting. She loves sitting and playing with her hands, and seems to be very coordinated with her grasping and dragging already.

On September 19th she rolled over (in her sleep) but I am sure there is more where that came from. She just doesn't seem to be in a hurry to go anywhere. That being said, she doesn't want to miss anything, which is why I think she enjoys sitting so much. She loves watching what everyone is doing and you can tell she is soaking it all in, especially when it comes to her sister. She is absolutely fascinated with all things Elena.

Hannah's personality is emerging, she is a total ham and is so goofy and loves to giggle. Her facial expressions crack me up and she is loving sticking out her tongue lately. I will never tire of hearing her giggles and hope to continue to hear it. She is very easy mannered and is settling into a daytime nap/wake schedule. She goes down easily for naps and bedtime (at 7:30 pm) and sleeps pretty well until 6:30 or later - depending on if her sister wakes her up in the morning. At night she is getting up about two times a night - but I think that is driven by being hungry - hopefully as we introduce more solids that will get better. But for now, it is working for us.
