Today I heard the best sound in the world.
Chris and I went to my OB/GYN for our first ultrasound. It was truly so amazing, all we could see was a little blob inside. But then, we were able to hear the heartbeat. I gazed in wonder at the screen, and heard Chris gasp "Oh my God" next to me. I could tell from the sound of his voice that he was emotional about it all. I was definitely choked up, but was also so overwhelmed to think that the heartbeat I was hearing was coming from inside me.
The Doc said the baby looked "perfect".
It truly took my breath away.
I can't wait until we get to see the little bean again in two weeks.
Stats: Heartbeat 122 bpm
Due date: 03/05/11, one day later than I had estimated
