Being in the city has its highlights and lowlights, its fun aspects and its challenges. One of the challenges that many suburban dwellers may not realize they take advantage of is the ability to garden. From my third floor condo in the city surrounded by concrete, sidewalks and buildings, gardening has always seemed like a difficult task.
In order to come up with a solution, I sought out advice from my expert gardener... my mom. After a trip to Stein's, purchase of new pots and some tips, I was sent back to the big city with planters in hand.
So far, the herbs and my tomato plant seem to like their new home... we will see how long it lasts.
